Those who are known to or who have expressed understanding or sympathy for the attitude of the former Prime Minister run the risk of losing their positions soon.Mimi Touré’s revolt and her strategy of defiance towards the presidential camp will cost many people dearly.People known or perceived to be close to or sympathetic to the former Prime Minister and prominent member of the Alliance for the Republic will lose their positions in the coming days.President MackySall is in the process of finalising a list of a number of senior executives of the state apparatus, on whom the cleaver of dismissal will fall shortly.The Head of State obtained information according to which these people wanted, within the state apparatus – both in ministerial cabinets, in the Palace, in national agencies and in several other decision-making structures – to feed the dissident MP with information in order to weaken the President’s camp.In fact, Mrs.Aminata Touré, in the same way that she did at the Economic, Social and Environmental Council (CESE), had laid the foundations for a virtual Cabinet that would have allowed her not only to continue to learn about the affairs of the State, but even to try to orient them in a direction that would be favourable to her interests.It is even said in the circles of power that this is one of the reasons that dissuaded President MackySall from supporting her for the presidency of the Assembly.The Head of State and his close ones feared that she would be re-established another Mexican army, only to prepare and serve her personal agenda.This had also worried the members of his party, who informed the President of the Apr, that they were not enthusiastic with the idea of seeing Mimi Touré on the Chair of the National Assembly.With her open rebellion, Mimi Touré has exposed all the personalities in the government, who seemed sensitive or who declared their support for her and sought to defend her.It should not be surprising to see, in the coming communiqués of the Council of Ministers, individual measures, that changes are being made in several structures of the State.Even if she does not arouse much enthusiasm from her former party comrades, the former Special Envoy of MackySall still had her people.And for them, the time to eat their black bread has come.
