Bassirou Diomaye Faye is the 5th President of Senegal. He was elected in the first round yesterday. In a tweet, Macky Sall congratulated him and wished him good luck. One of his challengers in the presidential election, Amadou Ba, also called to congratulate him on his victory and to pray for the success of his mission. « In view of the trends in the results of the presidential election and pending the official proclamation, I congratulate President Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye on his victory in the first round. 

I pray to the Almighty to grant him the energy and strength he needs to assume this high office at the head of our country.

I wish him every success for the well-being of the Senegalese people », said Amadou Ba.
