For the moment, the regime has not given a timetable for the entry into force of these reforms, even if it recalled that it has “marked its agreement in principle on the consensual recommendations in the report of the Conferences of Justice. On the other hand, he asked the Prime Minister, the Minister of Justice and the ministers concerned, “to propose a timetable for implementing reforms in the Justice sector in line with the government’s legislative program.” “This legislative agenda must aim in particular at the revision of the Constitution and specific codes,” recalls Diomaye.

For the moment, President Faye wants to know the “financial costs and impact of the proposed reforms in order to assess the appropriateness of their prioritization in budgetary programming”. The bet? It is “to establish a State of Law, an exemplary Republic and a united Nation through strong institutions and a credible Justice approved the Senegalese People in whose name it is rendered”, and to establish Justice in “compliance with the values ​​of our society, our culture and our beliefs”.
