After changing the head of the hierarchy, President Faye changed the architecture of the National Police with appointments to Security, the Gmi, the Daf and other strategic departments.

It’s a big change at the National Police. Ndiarra Sène, previously Director of the Central Office for the Repression of Illicit Drug Trafficking, has been appointed Director of Public Security, replacing Ibrahima Diop. Mamadou Ndour is the new head of the Mobile Intervention Unit. He is replaced by Ms Sanou Diouf at the National Police Training Department. The new authorities, who recently appointed Mame Seydou Ndour as Director General of the National Police, have shaken up the very heart of police operations.

Irregular migration drama: Broken Lives

Modou Diagne is the new Permanent Secretary of the Inter-ministerial Committee for Combating Irregular Migration. Ibrahima Dieng is the new Director of File Automation, replacing Fiacre Bruno Léopold Badiane, who goes on retirement. This is a logical follow-up to the measures taken a few days ago following the dismissal of the Chief Electoral Officer, Tanor Thiendella Fall. Mamadou Lamine Niang is the new Director of the Judicial Police, replacing Idrissa Cissé. Alassane Niane will lead the Central Office for the Repression of Illicit Drug Trafficking.

In addition, the Air and Border Police Division, the Foreigners and Travel Documents Division and the Human Resources Division all have new directors. It’s a big shake-up for now…
