Senegal’s Economic Perspectives: IMF’s Recipe
On the sidelines of the Gavi Forum held in France on Thursday, President Bassirou Diomaye Faye held talks with French President Emmanuel Macron. During this first exchange, the two heads of state expressed their desire « to give new impetus to the partnership between Senegal and France, based on mutual respect, a balanced partnership serving the reciprocal interests of the two peoples, united by shared democratic values, a human bond and a relationship of friendship ». They also welcomed their desire « to strengthen the quality of the partnership between France and Senegal ».
Vaccine Sovereignty: Madiba, a laboratory for Africa
In a press release, it is noted that exchanges between the two heads of state focused « on the common challenges to be met in order to pursue and strengthen cooperation in sectors that contribute to greater sovereignty for Senegal ». In the same vein, « they agreed to strengthen structuring projects in various sectors, including energy transition, health, vocational training, local vaccine production and agriculture ».
