15 months to the presidential election of 2024, the president of the APR launched the sale of cars for his political formation; last Saturday. Without evoking his participation or not for the upcoming presidential scrutiny, Macky Sallcalled on his militants to remobilise. “I call on leaders to mobilise like one man to make this operation of card sales; the beginning of the fight for victory” he launched in front of militants.MackySall launched Saturday, the campaign to sell the cards of his party, the Alliance for the Republic (Apr), in a context of a controversial debate on his third candidacy in 2024.The disorder was indescribable at the headquarters of the « brown-beige », located in Mermoz.Some of the members of the Movement of Republican Students (Meer) wreaked havoc to demand AblayeDiagne at the head of the structure.They broke through roadblocks to access the hall.They were determined to make their voices heard.« Meer bu bess!Meer bu bess!Meer bu bess! » they chanted in chorus.Coming as a firefighter, MbayeNdiaye, director of the Structures of the Apr, could not calm their ardour.They reigned supreme.They created a crowd movement by shouting.Panic gripped the women, who jumped from their seats to escape the fury of the youth.« Let me talk to our children.They are too committed.You have to be disciplined.The President of the Republic asked me to ensure that, with all the comrades, we welcome him in discipline.No violence, please, » said MbayeNdiaye.The director of the APR Structures did not have time to finish his speech, when he is cut off by a group of girls shouting the name of NdèyeSalyDiopDieng.« Ladies, if you continue, I will call the police.But we have to stop this.NdèyeSaly is not undisciplined.You are doing NdèyeSaly a disservice.Be disciplined, » Ndiaye said.The hustle and bustle lasted more than an hour before the start of the activity and the triumphant arrival of their leader, Macky Sall. He is greeted by songs, dances, tam-tams. « Macky, with Macky until death. Long live President Macky Sall, » sing the aperists. « Please! Please, we listen to each other, « tries to calm the president of the Apr.« I see the strength and vitality of our party.I see the commitment of youth, the determination of women.We must sell the cards to occupy the political field, but also to better organise our party which is the backbone of the Bennobokkyaakaarcoalition, « said MackySall in front of enthusiastic sympathisers and supporters.He continued his speech: « I understand the dynamism of the Cojer, the Meer.Comrades, the time has come for mobilisation, for combat.A fight for Senegal, for its development, for the future of youth, for the emancipation of women and the well-being of populations. »In a context where the opposition is engaged in a fight to block his way in 2024, the outgoing president has galvanised his troops without declaring whether or not he will be in the race for the next presidential election.He said: « We are the majority party in this country.So now is the time for all militants to join hands to show the population our determination to serve and make positive transformations.I ask the leaders of all party structures to mobilise as one man to make this operation of selling cards, the beginning of the fight for victory, to show that our party has returned. »
